Shakira’s Grammy Museum Exhibit By: Nicole Moreno-Deinzer

Shakira, 46 is having a moment. Shoot, she is the moment. Her single with Argentinian producer DJ Bizarrap, “SHAKIRA || BZRP Music Sessions #53,” has broken many records. With over fourteen million streams in the first twenty-four hours, her single has led her to become the first solo woman to reach the Billboard Hot 100 with a song recorded in Spanish. That is her life right now.

As you may know, her career has spanned over three decades with three Grammy Awards and twelve Latin Grammy Awards. So it is no surprise that the GRAMMY Museum has decided to have a Shakira exhibit this March.

The exhibit, Shakira, Shakira: The GRAMMY Museum Experience will open on Saturday, March 4, and will be on display in the Museum’s permanent Latin Music Gallery. Further proof that the “Queen of Latin Music” is not slowing down.

Three years ago, Shakira was one of the Latina powerhouses to perform at the Superbowl halftime show. That Superbowl performance is the most viewed halftime performance video on the NFL YouTube channel with over 263 million views. Fans would be able to see two of her Super Bowl LIV outfits (one red, one gold) at the exhibit. This exhibit will also include a lot of other personal items that will allow fans to build a deeper connection with the singer, songwriter, and performer.

These pieces are a testament to so many indelible moments that I cherish, and I’m so happy to be able to relive these memories with those who have and continue to support me as an artist.”
