Karol G has done it again. Her fourth studio album “Mañana Será Bonito” which was released on Feb. 24 has been topping the charts ever since, and it is now April.

When “Mañana Será Bonito” was first released, it quickly made history. According to the Chart Data Twitter account “Mañana Será Bonito” has earned the “biggest debut for a female Spanish Album in Spotify history.” Not to mention her album has not left the #1 spot on iTunes for the Latin genre. Even weeks after its initial release, it continues to top the charts.

Her album includes seventeen songs that feature artists like Shakira, Romeo Santos, Quevedo, and Carla Morrison to name a few. Karol G’s song “TQG” featuring Shakira has also earned the biggest debut for a “Latin female collaboration in YouTube history with an estimated 39.5 million views within 24 hours” according to Chart Data. Her album has gained so much well-deserved success in so little time.

Karol G’s new album has a song for every emotion. After listening to the album several times, I can honestly say that I loved everything about this album starting with the pastel cover art that has a lot of what appears to be hand-drawn pictures like a butterfly, mermaid, rainbow, and many more. The meaning behind it:“Mañana Será Bonito” in English translates to “tomorrow will be beautiful.” Karol G says that “Mañana Será Bonito ” was a phrase that she constantly repeated to herself when she wasn’t feeling the greatest to remind herself that everything was going to be okay. And I thought that was a beautiful reminder that I repeat to myself. .

There are a few songs that I have not stopped listening to since the album dropped. The very first song that I immediately loved was, “Mientras me curo del cora” because of how she speaks about healing and being thankful for everything you have in life. “It’s okay to not feel good, it’s normal, it’s not a crime I’m alive, I don’t need anything else.”

Another favorite would have to be “TQG” which is her collaboration with Shakira. This song is iconic for so many reasons. For one, seeing two of the biggest female Latin artists come together and make history is legendary. The amount of success that this song received overnight is cool to witness especially when it’s from two of the biggest female Latin artists. This song also talks about relationships and about knowing your worth.

In an interview with Billboard, Karol G says, “When I saw the story about Shakira and her situation, this song again gained meaning. I really want songs to have a meaning and connect with real stories.” The story and meaning of this song have made anyone going through a heartbreak feel good about themselves.

“Tus Gafitas” is another song that has become a favorite because the vibe is so different from her other songs. It has a pop-rock feel to it with the beat, guitar, and drums in the background that’s so cool to listen to. “Besties” is another favorite and it’s the go-to song to play when you’re hanging out with your friends. It has such a chill and fun sound because it’s not too upbeat but it’s not too slow either. It’s the perfect song to vibe to.
