How To Improve Your Skincare Routine By: Adria Craig

We can all agree 2020 was a rollercoaster. We were all taught the lesson of self-care and we took that lesson with us into 2021. Taking care of your skin and establishing a skincare routine is one way you can take care of yourself.

Face Cleanser

Having a good face cleanser is a plus. Having one that works at taking off your make-up is even better. I highly suggest PreCleanse from Dermalogica. This cleansing oil emulsifies when you add water and makes your skin feel so fresh before going to bed.

Eye Cream

Another easy thing to add to your routine is an eye cream. It’s never too early to add an eye cream to your routine. The skin under our eyes is the thinnest skin that we have. There are different types of eye creams such as an eye de-puffer, eye cream for dark circles, and even creams for crows feet, also known as aging marks or wrinkles. Eye creams are best before bed.

Face Serum

Serums are a great simple step to help with hyperpigmentation, discoloration, wrinkles, and anti-aging. I highly suggest a vitamin C serum for hyperpigmentation and dark spots. There are some great retinol serums that help with anti-aging. Before taking a retinol serum, make sure it’s okay with your doctor as some medications can have effects on it. Also, avoid if you’re pregnant.

Just adding one thing to your routine can be a game-changer and your skin will thank you. Our skin is the largest organ that we have to take care of.
