Beauty Remedies To Help You Destress By: Adria Craig
We all can agree this year has been a crazy one and just around the corner is the holidays. The holidays can be a joyful time but can also be stressful. Take some time for yourself it can be even little things to decompress. Stress can cause premature aging and can raise your blood pressure. So here are some tips to help you de-stress and take care of yourself.
- Breathe. Take a deep breath. First thing when you wake up in the morning, take a good five minutes to just breathe and focus on yourself. Taking a moment for yourself will ground you and help start your day off great and with a better mindset. Meditation in the morning or even taking 15 minutes to yourself can be so wonderful for your mental health.
- Skincare routine. Having a skincare routine will help with self-esteem. Washing your face in the morning and evening with warm water helps open up your pores. You can wash off all the pollution and dirt that has collected on your skin throughout the day. When you’re finished washing your face, splash with cold water and that will shrink your pores. I also love splashing cold water on my face before doing my makeup since I have larger pores.
- A hot bath. My favorite thing to do when it’s been a long week is to take a hot bath with Epsom salt. Epsom salt has so many benefits such as; helps relieve stress, softens skin, reduces pain, and soreness among many other things. I light a few candles, maybe have my favorite drink, and will set up my tablet and catch up on a TV show.
With everything going on in the world right now, taking time for yourself is so important. I know people are stressing overwork, the virus, the election, and the holidays. Take a moment for yourself, the most important thing right now is taking care of ourselves and our mental health.
