Affordable Shopping On Rodeo Drive By: Jasmine Perry

There’s no need to shop ‘til you drop when visiting Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Rodeo Drive is known to be a luxurious place to dine in, shop, or run into a few of your favorite celebrities. However, if you’re planning to take a stroll down Rodeo Drive, you might end up dropping more than a few bucks or gawking at price tags.

The famed street with upscale designer shops is also known for tourists taking pictures of themselves in front of luxurious name-brand buildings. As for others, it’s a place to spend thousands of dollars on that Gucci handbag.

On Rodeo Drive, you’ll find designer-label boutiques, such as Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Prada, Versace, Coco Chanel, Dolce and Gabbana, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, and many more. As for other high-end designer brands, you will have the luxury to buy more and spend less.

Here are a few famous boutiques I recommend shopping at because no one wants to leave Rodeo Drive empty-handed.

In addition to other luxury boutiques, you can head on over to the Love Beverly Hills Website.

If you ever plan to travel to Southern California and wonder where to shop, or even window-shop, I suggest making a quick stop on Rodeo Drive. By that, I don’t mean getting on a Hollywood tour bus. Instead, walk down the famed street with upscale designer stores and getting the full-on experience exactly how I did.

Although I didn’t buy another Louis Vuitton, I decided to take a different approach to Beverly Hills since it was my first time going. So I decided to save hundreds of dollars at Guess, which I didn’t know there was a Guess on Rodeo Drive.

Don’t get me wrong, although there wasn’t security at the door, the associate at Guess greeted me right when I walked in and treated me very professionally.

As I browsed around, the associate was glad to get my size on an outfit that caught my eye, and because of that, I decided to purchase a black mini crocodile print handbag with it. I would say my experience was delightful, and I only spent less than three hundred – better than one thousand dollars, don’t you think?

Although, I do hope to go back and buy that Louis Vuitton Croisette Damier Azur or Yves Saint Laurent Uptown Chain Wallet.

When you think of Rodeo Drive, you think of a lavish experience; that is what I always thought when I would see the city of Beverly Hills in movies such as Clueless. Growing up in a Latina community, I grew up shopping at the alley of Los Angeles known as “Los Callejones” or the “swap meet,” more commonly known as the flea market.

I was lucky enough to buy a fashionable handbag or possibly a knock-off brand because I couldn’t tell you what an extravagant purse looked like from afar either.

However, it is nice to treat yourself occasionally, plus you never know who you might see in person and maybe get a free picture with too. Therefore, keep your eye out for celebrities and window-shop if you must. Either way, Rodeo Drive does have your favorite affordable stores. It’s just about looking for them.
