Byron sits down with Lilly Yan about her current and future projects and her love of music. Every month Bryon Gonzalez sits down with an upcoming musical artist. This month he discusses not only music but identity, creating an authentic fan base, and surviving in the music industry with Lilly Yan.

Yan is a First-Generation Honduran-American indie pop artist based right outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Born and raised in Hollywood, Florida, Lilly’s cultural background has given her a much-needed perspective in the music industry.

At the end of the interview, Lilly Yan shared what her next plans are.

“We are in the process of basically starting our EP/album. We haven’t decided yet if we want it to be a full album,” shared Yan, “an album has to be 30 minutes to be an album and if we hit the mark, that would be fine. I want to have the funds necessary to create the album. But I am excited to have a full body of work. ”
