What To Do This Fall By: Jessy Santana
Fall is here!
If you’re anything like me, fall is the season that is full of cozy sweaters, early cool mornings, and those love-it-hate-it pumpkin spice anything. This fall might be a little wonky depending on where you find yourself but the crisp fall air, the decorations, and the wardrobe change still carry on.
As things start to open and capacity shifts occur, remember always to be safe but now that things are cooling down out there, why not try some new fall favorites?
If you have access to farms anywhere near you, now may be a great time to explore which farms and what activities they might have planned. I have personally always wanted to do a hay maze, hayride, and apple picking. Whatever works!
Another activity we’re looking forward to is the fall festivals scene; there’s tons of outdoor music with art fairs and pop-up shops. Now that the weather is cooler, it might be worth a more delightful treat to enjoy them without the sun beaming down from above.
If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, driving to see the fall leaves change in scenic areas is always a great option. We’ll be traveling to Mont Tremblant to see the leaves change from the ski lift, and I can’t wait! A great bed and breakfast is always an excellent opportunity to reconnect in calmer surroundings, and who knows, it may just be the mental reset you need to finish the year right.
Holidays are around the corner, and with all of the delays in the global logistics pipeline, we’re looking for alternative gifts this year since traveling may not be on our horizon quite yet. There are tons of small towns with unique shops and farmers’ markets that may prove to be the right kind of place to find something different and maybe even unique to gift this year. We’re trying antiquing this year for the first time, and I can’t wait to look through something old and make it new again.
Never forget that it’s just great to get out into nature when the seasons start changing. Of course, it might take you a bit further depending on where you live, but there’s something so beautiful about finding yourself in nature and taking a moment to stop and sit in stillness. Maybe you’ll gain clarity on something you’ve been thinking about recently, or perhaps you’ll feel refreshed and can take on the world again.
Fall may be the beginning of the end of things, but it’s also a beginning. It’s the beginning of quieter, peaceful nights when you’re cozy inside and more serenity in the city. It’s the beginning of hibernation and taking better care of yourself on the inside. It’s also a great time to cuddle with your loved ones and hold them close. It’s my favorite time of the year, and I hope you’ll find joy in it.
