Simple On The Go Snacks By: Angela Abouayash

September is filled with fashion week shows and the beginning of autumn galas, and fundraisers. Oh, and did we mention the back to school madness? Needless to say, September is a busy month. With all this going on, we still want to be able to keep a good healthy routine and eat good meals that will give us lots of strength. But, as busy as we all are, we might not have time to eat a meal. These smoothie recipes will keep you healthy and going. You can make them before your events or before fashion week shows. All you have to do is put them in the blender and mix well. My favorite blender is the Ninja brand. It comes with a great individual mixer and easy to take on the road with you.

CARROTS AND CHERRY TOMATOES

Cut your carrots lengthwise and tomatoes in halves. Then put them in a plastic container, with some fresh pepper, fresh lime juice, and salt.

Trail Mix

A mix of almonds, peanuts, cranberries, white chocolate chips or dark chocolate chips, raisins. Put them in little Ziploc bag containers. They’re great snacks to have.

Fruits & Veggies

One of the things I like to do when I get home from the store is o cut all veggies and fruits. I put them in containers and cover them with a paper towel. It will help to absorb the moisture. this way my husband and kids can open the fridge and never have an excuse not to find healthy snacks.

May you have some green ideas and remember a healthy mind, healthy body, great nutrition.
