Brazilian 2022 Fashion Designs Take On NYFW By: Jasmine Perry
Fashionista Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City once said, “every year, the women of New York leave the past behind and look forward to the future…this is known as Fashion Week.”
New York Fashion Week just ended, and we are amazed by the Spring/Summer 2022 collection. From September 8th through the 12th, fabulous designs debut on the runway. One fashion line stood out, and that was the vibrant Brazilian brand, PatBO.
Born and raised in Brazil, Founder and Creative Director Patricia Bonaldi started PatBO back in her hometown Uberlândia. With her devotion to craftsmanship, her pieces represent talented artisans from her native country.
Bonaldi is known for her fringe trims, cut-outs, embroidery, and hand beading designs. However, the Brazilian fashion designer wanted to take a different approach with wooden beads, feathers, and jute trims.
Although this was Bonaldi’s first in-person fashion show, PatBO featured former Victoria’s Secret supermodel and Brazilian native Alessandra Ambrosio. The Brazilian model opened the show with menswear trousers with a corset-style waistband and a matching bralette.
She then closed the fashion show with a black plunge long-sleeved beach dress – a PatBO signature silhouette.
Not only did PatBO Collection feature solid-colorful dresses but it showcased prints as well. The fashion show took place at the recently opened Le Pavillon restaurant, where the festive gathering space was filled with exotic plants and natural light, giving the runway an outdoor look.
The Brazilian collection is now available to pre-order at www.PatBO.com. According to PatBO, every online net sale will donate 10 percent to a non-profit organization called Amigos Do Bem during September. Donations will help with education, work, income projects, healthcare, water, and housing for residents in the hinterland region of northeast Brazil.
The PatBO fashion line is available in more than 150 stores in 20 different countries. You can even find the Brazilian fashion line at luxury stores Net-a-Porter, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, FWRD, and Moda Operandi. Therefore, if you plan to shop while you’re out traveling, don’t forget to add PatBO to your shopping list.
