What To Wear This Valentine’s Day By: Jasmine Perry

Valentine’s Day is approaching and you’re probably asking yourself, “What should I wear?” With the pandemic going on and the holiday arriving during the winter season, it doesn’t mean you have to dress down.

Let’s face it, we are living in hard times where restaurants and clubs might be closed. However, if you’re thinking about staying-in for a fancy homemade dinner or going out, you can still dress up to feel sexy, so what’s better than a red outfit?

The Red Lace Dress:
If you’re living down south where the weather is warm and you decide to go for a sexy look, you can pair this red lace dress with mesh around the torso from Venus with these nude open-toe heels from Guess to make that dress pop.

The Half Lace Dress or The Solid Red Dress:
Now if you’re not a fan of lace, you can always try a red dress that’s half lace and half solid color like this one from Obsession. If you want more of a solid look, you can never go wrong with a solid red spaghetti-strap dress just like the one from Want My Look which I paired with look-alike Christian Louboutin Impera Lace-Up red sole pumps – having the shoes be my fashion statement.

The Red Jumpsuit:
However, if you live up north and you’re looking to stay warm but sexy at the same time, this off-the-shoulder red jumpsuit from Express could be paired with a black faux fur coat and clear black heel pumps from Qupid for a fun flirty look.

The Red Two-Piece Set:
If you’re not a fan of jumpsuits, this off the shoulder red two-piece set is a must-have that could also be paired with either of the three colored pumps listed above. You can just add a cute black leather puffy sleeve jacket from Express.

Pink Two-Piece Sets:
We all know that red symbolizes love but there are also other valentine colors to choose from. This two-piece pink suit from FashionNova not only screams pretty in pink but also calls for romance. You can pair this outfit with either a white lace top like the one in the picture or a red tank for a flirty yet sophisticated look. If you live in the south, you can choose the alternative from pants to shorts like this neon pink two-piece set and white lace top – both from Venus. You could either add the white lace red sole pumps or these hot Steve Madden pink shoes to state it’s Valentine’s Day.

Statement Pieces:
With all that said, if you don’t own a red dress or an all-pink outfit for some reason, you can find a red, pink, or white fashion statement piece in your wardrobe. For instance, if you do own a red, pink, or white accessory, you can pair any of these colors with any other outfit. Such as cross-body purses, red or white booties, pink pumps, a red coat, or even pink, red, or white face mask that can make any outfit say, “Will you be my Valentine?”

At the end of the day, we are all spending Valentine’s Day during a pandemic, whether you’re staying in or going out. Therefore you can’t say you didn’t dress up for a special occasion at the beginning of 2021.
