10 Minute Zoom Ready Makeup By: Adria Craig
Shall you wear makeup to your Zoom meeting? Yes, you shall. Most people during the pandemic are now working from home and are partaking in Zoom meetings. Just because we are at home, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put a little effort into your appearance. Here are my tips for looking appropriate for your work Zoom calls without having to spend too much time. This look should take you 10 min or less!
The first step for this look: grab a tinted moisturizer that you love. I use Neutrogena personally. It is oil-free and has a high SPF. A tinted moisturizer will smooth any imperfections quickly but not feeling cakey and it takes no time. After the moisturizer, set with a translucent powder. I love Wet and Wild’s Loose Powder. Maybelline SuperStay translucent Foundation is great for people with oily skin as well.
Next, grab your blush and or bronzer. Blush can be used as a contour as well. This is what women used back in the day to chisel those cheekbones. This is what I use personally and love the look. Grab your eyebrow pencil or pen. Fill in your eyebrows and give them shape. For Zoom calls, no need to go all out for your eyebrows. Just fill in where your brows are sparse and groom them to look neat and clean.
The third step is all about mascara. You can always use an eyelash curler before this step, whatever your preference may be. My favorite mascara is Revlon’s Telescope. It makes your lashes long and full without the clumpy look happening. Mascara can make your eyes look very awake without any other makeup.
Last but not least, add some lipstick or lip gloss. Giving even just a hint of color to your lips can make your look stand out in a video call.
Just because we are at home working during these times, doesn’t mean we can’t make an effort to look our best. Putting a little makeup can boost your morale and give you that professional feel.
